Rookie mistake! It's only when I'm dropping off the last load into my silo that I realize I've just collected 488,152 litres of, not chaff, but sugarcane!! I don't bloody want sugarcane! I want chaff to turn into silage, to make digestate! So I'm only half paying attention to my game. Maybe I should have put on Field of Dreams instead!) while I'm waiting for the planter, then later driving a truck up and down a field following my shiny new forage harvester. OMG, I'm gonna be here all bloody day at this rate! I got bored, so while a worker seeded my field, I put a movie on my tablet to watch/listen to (Jaws, if anyone's interested. 7 passes and it's done! The biggest sugarcane planter is 2m. I used an 18.2m planter to plant my corn. I repeated the previous steps and here's where I made my mistake. Harvest time arrives, I collect the princely amount of 314,908 litres of glorious chaff. Sowed, fertilized during growth stage 2 to ensure perfect Nitrogen levels, even tried to weed with a spot sprayer (OK, it was just to trick the game into giving me my max weeding bonus, as I plowed before starting). (Albeit in different saves, but hey, it still counts!) I then copied the save, renamed it and now I've got two identical fields. I carefully prepped a field with soil samples, optimum PH levels and pre-fertilized with digestate. Luckily, I decided to get scientific, and actually test it against a corn harvest before adding to my main savegame. I mean, the forage harvester turns almost everything else into chaff, seems logical, right? It may seem obvious to everyone else, but when I saw the header that can cut sugarcane with a forage harvester, I kinda assumed it meant I could turn sugarcane into chaff.
